  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Issue Recurring crash of the Plesk dedicated server (error on all sites) 504 Bad Gateway - nginx

Vincentged

New Pleskian
Hello everybody,

We are on a dedicated server: CentOS Linux 7.6.1810 (Core) // Plesk Obsidian 18.0.38
Characteristics: Server SP-32 - Intel Xeon E3-1270v6 - 32GB DDR4 ECC 2400 MHz - SoftRaid 2x2TB
With around 500 websites.

We tried a solution without success:
- plesk db "SHOW VARIABLES LIKE 'max_connections'" which we set to 600.
But still the same problem the server crashes once a day on average.

Any suggestions??

Thanks

Hello,
it would be helpful if you could provide some more informations to investigate the problem ...
What means server crashes?

Could you provide some logs?
Code:
/var/log/messages
journalctl -u nginx.service
/var/www/vhosts/system/<domain_name>/proxy_error_log

kind regards,

Hi,

'max_connections'" to 600 and "504 Bad Gateway - NGINX" are not related.

You should look into your NGINX configuration.
