Removing files from /var/lib/psa/dumps

Peter Downes

Basic Pleskian
Hi

I'm afraid I am new to this.

I see that each time my VPS backup manager sends a backup to my Personal FTP Repository my /var/lib/psa/dumps fills with a copy of the files on my server.

This of uses up a lot of my total VPS Disk space.

Reading up for solutions I have learnt about writing a script to remove files after x days.
http://www.blackpepper.co.uk/how_to_save_33gb_of_disk_space_or_managing_plesk_backups_/

And then executing that script using a scheduled task
http://www.webdevdoor.com/php/scheduling-php-script-plesk-linux

Does this look like a good way to manage /var/lib/psa/dumps files?

Thanks for looking

Thanks IgorG

That looks exactly like the problem but I am not confident that I can execute the solution without causing more problems.

Can you recommend a resource or book to a help beginner like me learn to apply a solution like this?
And perhaps a marketplace where I can hire administrators to perform tasks on my VPS for me whilst I learn?

Thanks
