Issue Request for Workaround: Allow Manual Backups but Disable Scheduled Backups for Customers

Hello Support Team,

We would like to check if there is a supported workaround in Plesk for the following backup configuration.

Our requirement is:

• Customers should be allowed to create manual backups from Backup Manager.
• Customers should be allowed to restore their backups.
• Customers should not be allowed to configure any scheduled backups, including daily, weekly, monthly, or hourly backups.
• Administrators should still be able to configure and manage scheduled backups.

We are aware of the following Plesk options:

1. Under Tools & Settings > Backup Manager > Settings, there is an option:
   Allow customers and resellers to schedule hourly backups
   However, disabling this appears to prevent only hourly scheduled backups, while customers can still configure daily, weekly, or monthly schedules.
2. We also found the following panel.ini option:

[pmm]
manageBackupsByAdminOnly = true

However, this disables backup management completely for customers and resellers, which would also prevent them from creating their own manual backups.

Our intended configuration is therefore:

Manual customer backup: Allowed
Customer restore: Allowed
Customer scheduled backup: Disabled
Administrator scheduled backup: Allowed

Could you please advise whether Plesk provides any supported configuration, panel.ini option, Service Plan setting, extension, event handler, or other workaround to achieve this?

If there is currently no built-in option, please advise on the recommended supported method to prevent customers from creating scheduled backups while retaining access to manual backup and restore functionality.
