Restore License Key from plesk backup?

I know the command is there, but I'll be damned if I can figure it out,
My plesk server freaked out and booted back up with a demo/expired key (WTF???),
so I'm trying to restore JUST the key... any way of doing this?
I have backups, altho am not sure if I have the latest backup after I upgraded to 8.3.0 (if that matters?), but can anyone give me the exact command to extract my key?

the docs does mention the restore key feature, yes... but I can't seem to figure out the way I'm supposed to use it. everything I try fails. I asked "can anyone give me the exact command to extract my key?"

But that's now irrelevant as I figured out what went wrong and fixed it.

Now my question is, how do I back up my key if I don't have the original that Plesk/SWSoft/Parallels sent me?

Hi,

Try /plesk_installation_directory/bin/pleskrestore --restore <backup file name> -license

BTW, you can check Plesk database for the key history. check the table 'key_history', there you can find all your keys. Then you can contact Parallels sales and ask them to send your key.
