we have a couple of servers currently running ubuntu 10.04, plesk10.
we are going to be changing our entire server system, with a completely new, load balanced architecture, new firewalls, new shared and redundant storage etc, etc.
we have limited rackspace, and to change over we will need to take our current systems down, and re-arrange the whole rack.
to avoid the downtime on our sites, we are considering moving them all over to a hosting provider whilst we do all the network/server work.
the hosting providers servers are running centos 6 with plesk 11, or centos 6 with plesk 12
if we moved our sites onto one of these servers, would there be any issue with using the migration manager to move them back to our own servers running ubuntu 10.04 servers and plesk 10?
we would prefer to use the hosting provider only during the physical transition, and then migrate the sites to our new architecture on our own timetable as we become more assured of the new systems stability and performance, avoiding the cost of having everything on a hosted server for an extended period.
