• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Just create a backup of the single site, and import on the other server. No rsync.

You should not have any timeout problems with rsync. Check port 22 is open on source server. Manually ssh from destination server to source server (and vice versa, just in case) to check.

You may also like to manually rsync some test files into a test directory between the two servers.

Note: the destination server does the rsync, I think, so essentially you need to run rsync from destination server, but be careful about the paths and the order of the directories. In the terms of the rsync man page, you need to "pull" and not "push".

Always use --dry-run (see rsync man page) when experimenting with manual rsync! You can cause a lot of damage if you are not careful.
