runtask error on godaddy shared server

T

troubleshooter

Guest
I am running Plesk 7.6 on a Godaddy shared server.

The issue is with regards to the smtp server.

I have the machine setup to use the godaddy SMTP server.

Email works fine, however when Plesk runs its scheduled task to generate the daily stats it fails when it tries to send me the statistics report.

I get the following message:
IDispatch error #19 (COM Error 80040213, Description: The transport failed to connect to the server.
) at Cannot send mail to email [email protected]
at (statistics::sendNotificationMail line 3362)
Execute file name: C:\SWSoft\Plesk\admin\bin\statistics.exe

Does anyone know how I can update Plesk do it uses the correct smtp server?

Local SMTP server should be started and open relay for 127.0.0.1 sould be enabled. Please check it.

Thanks for your post sergius.

I already have my SMTP server running with the specified ip 127.0.0.1 included in the permitted relay list.

The issue with the godaddy environment is that the smtp server needs to be set as k2smtpout.secureserver.net.

In my case I have my mail server (Mailenable) smarthosted to k2smtpout.secureserver.net.

Is their a configuration setting in Plesk where I can set the value for the smtp server?

Robert
