• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Search usability improvements

jj05

Basic Pleskian
1. When searching, the order result is not always logical (subdomains appear before the domain name, domain aliases appear before the main domain name, substrings appear before full matches). It's better to first show in the list results that match the start, and later substring search.
2. When searching and pressing enter, it will automatically select the first result in the list, which often isn't the wanted domain. If there's more than one match, it's more usable to display the list of results, which currently only displays if you wait about half a second, which is counterintuitive for new users. People expect search to work like Google.
3. In some of the pages there are two search boxes, which can be quite confusing. As a minimum to make it less confusing, add a placeholder hint (e.g. "Search subscriptions...").
