  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question Seeking tandem / country management / franchiser partners

Bitpalast

Plesk addicted!
Plesk Guru
Heart attack, stroke, traffic accident … we are all doing a great job, but what happens when fate strikes? If you are a freelancer or a small business with limited staff you are tied to your job, always engaged. What happens to your business when the unexpected happens? Just imagine – you are at the hospital and the SMTP service or Apache fails on one of your hosts? Clients will call – and no one answers the phone. Even if you have some help in your business, if you are the expert, your staff might not be able to solve severe issues by themselves. Websites could go offline for days if not weeks – and customers will leave your company. They will post angry, negative comments on rating portals, too. Your business will die over it, and so will your income.

I am seeking tandem partners to minimize this existential threat to both of our income and businesses. In my ideal world, we can join to both use the Bitpalast® brand in our countries, develop our web hosting businesses on the same platform, the same products, the same technology – while still operating separately, working similar like in a franchise system. When one partner experiences trouble and cannot operate his servers or serve his customers for some while, the other partners step in. While this can work like a great business insurance for us, our common success will grow, too, because using the same brand we’ll become much better known on an international scale. We can use this for advertisement, too, and we’ll also insure us vice versa against possible political changes in our countries.

I am seeking highly educated, stable professionals, Plesk Gurus, from other countries to ensure that we do not interfere with one another in our local markets. IT specialists with many years experience in server administration and the Plesk platform who have sound plans to continue growing a web hosting business long-term, e.g. over the next 20 years and beyond. I am willing to share a huge amount of knowledge, not only in technology, but also in marketing, accounting and law, and I am also willing to provide a well thought-though brand concept and a huge amount of experience with acquisition and business operations. If you feel that you can equally well put something into a joint venture, get in touch with me. It is always a good idea to talk, even if your ideal may not exactly match mine at first. Open for negotiations and different perspectives.
