Hello,
Note: I apologise I accidently submitted this to the wrong thread, its being moderated for approval so hopefully it will get rejected and this one wont if it appears in both please accept my apologies and delete the other.
I have the latest 10.4 version of plesk installed on a vps just hosting our website the site is currently working fine. We have successfully installed our ssl certificate and it appears to be working correctly.
We have been getting periodic emails as below, I ignored these as the ssl was working correctly, so this was low priority. As we do not own or have ever owned me.com (and if I had I would be rich now, since it now belongs to apple!) I assumed it was a default cert and not used.
However it now has become a problem. We found that some users of our website was not receiving email and when we checked logs it seemed that it was due to the 'server settings' > 'System settings'> 'full hostname'. It was set to the vps's temporary hostname we used when setting up the server before we transferred the domain. This hostname was being rejected by the receiving email servers for spam reasons because it was not an active domain.
The problem is, is that if I attempt to change this setting to our domain 'cadservices.co.uk' the certificate the website returns when I attempt a ssl connection is the me.com cert not our cert installed in our panel.
################# SSL Certificate Warning ################
Certificate for hostname 'me.com', in file:
/etc/pki/tls/certs/localhost.crt
The certificate needs to be renewed; this can be done
using the 'genkey' program.
Browsers will not be able to correctly connect to this
web site using SSL until the certificate is renewed.
