Server questions

Hello since ever question I'm about to point towards a dedicated server has alot to almost all to do with plesk so here's the questions help you guys can help :


#1.Can you change the default mysql that comes with either control panel like say for fact the port number from 3306?

#2. Can you have more then one mysql on the dedicated server? Like one would be the default from plesk, and the other would be like mysql 4.0.17-nt for dev testing ( we would use higher but just don't want to use much ram).

Hi,
Why do you want to store Plesk database with other databases? It is not secure.
It is not recommended to use it together.

As for the mysq 4.0.17 you can install it on the server and define another port for it.

Yeah that's that thing we can't change the port on the application were still working on. Were working on other features and will slowly get to that.
