server-wide subdomain error

when my clients tried to create subdomains, there's a javascript popup saying the following:

"Unable to make changes to the subdomain: WebServerManager::getVHostPerformance() failed: websrvmng failed: COM Error 80070003( The system cannot find the path specified.) at reload"

However the subdomain is added to the plesk db and is shown in the subdomain list. And I am unable to remove the subdomain, as a javascript error is popped-up.

Any input is very much appreciated.

Here is my solution to a similar problem. Not sure if it will help you or not. In your case, it is probably a domain instead of a subdomain malfunctioning, but it can't hurt to check.
