I am new to forum and am a hosted customer on a classic asp site under what I believe is a 10.x Plesk control panel.
On the site I have several databases loaded to a folder outside the httpdocs folder but at the same level. The problem, I am told by my host is that permissions to this folder are periodically reset to values that Plesk thinks they should be by Plesk on an unidentified schedule.
Can the default permissions for that one folder be changed and recognizable by Plesk so the permissions remain as necessary to allow access by scripts run under httpdocs? My host has not been able to resolve access issue and my customer has not been able to use site. Latest suggestion was to move to IIS 7 on 2008 server, but that introduces a number of problems they could not resolve hosting classic ASP in that environment when first setting up the site.
