• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Setting DKIM email record on Plesk Panel 10.3.1 Linux Server

New Pleskian
I am running Linux server (with Magento) using Plesk Control Panel 10.3.1

I send email using qmail and am finding that it goes to spam folder in gmail recipients. I have set up SPF records, and Reverse DNS (PTR) and now wish to set up DKIM to help.

My understanding however is that DKIM needs a longer TXT record in the DNS records than the Plesk Domain Manager Limitation of 255 characters. And that it is possible to modify these records by tunneling into the backend.

I am a newbie and doubt I am capable of doing this myself but would like some guidance to firstly verify the restricted character length in the DNS records of Plesk Panel and also to explain how and where the character limitation can be lifted (if that is how it is done). Also if I am missing something then any extra information would be appreciated.
Many thanks for anticipated reply.

Thank you IgorG. Thats useful.
I note the article reccommends switching from qmail to postfix.
If I switch to Postfix I think I can overcome the Plexus problem of only having one ip to send from on my server BUT only provided I update my Plexus Control Panel to version 10.4. Is that correct? AND How should I update my Plexus Control Panel? Thanks

Sorry Plesk Control Panel not Plexus. I refer to the issue of all ip's on a Plesk system being sent from one ip.
