  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question Setting up server side caching with CentOS and Plesk

Pinocchietto

New Pleskian
Hi,

I’ve been reading about server side caching and I’m trying to decide what kind of setup I should hire someone to do. It’s a dedicated server with CentOS 7.6 and Plesk Onyx, hosting a Wordpress site. I read about varnish, memcached, redis and opcache and I’m a bit confused as I’m not sure if some or all of these services can/should work together and with a caching plugin like W3 Total Cache. I’m looking to get the best performance possible. Any advice would be appreciated.
