• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Short Mail Names Error

Hey folks,

I was making some changes to our Relaying settings today and all of the sudden I get the following message when I attempt to save settings:

Unable to allow the use of short mail names for POP3/IMAP accounts. There are mail names matching the encrypted paswords.

After I click OK, I noticed that the "Only use of full POP3/IMAP mail accounts names is allowed" option was selected, and I was unable to change it.

I searched through these forums and found a workaround (changing 'allow_short_pop3_names' to 'enabled' in misc ), but does anyone know a way to show WHICH mail names are the culprits? Are there any log files that would show which username is giving the error, etc?

Please pardon my newbness!
