  • Support for BIND DNS has been removed from Plesk for Windows due to security and maintenance risks.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS.

Single User > Multiple Databases

I have an application that requires a single client to admin and create multiple databases:

User 1 - database 1
User 1 - database 2

How could this be achieved?

Fedora Core 6 - Plesk 8.1.1

No, unless I have missed the process somewhere. Plesk creates the user to match the database, after I created my database 1 I created the user for database 1, then I created database 2 but could not specify user 1 as a user for database 2.

I also find the behavior very annoying. I have lots of sites with multiple databases and keeping track of all the users is getting cumbersome.

I have some contacts in swsoft, and this is what I heard

Right now it's impossible to assign one user to different databases.
In Plesk9 (nearest major Plesk release) we plan to implement more flexible logic with users and resources, so it will be possible.

I am hosting an E-learning application that requires databases to be generated for each course created. In the interim, is there a work-around or patch that could solve this problem.
