Sitebuilder installation on Centos 4.5 WHM/cPanel server

Hello,
I am trying to install sitebuilder on my Centos 4.5 cPanel server.

I tried autoinstaller and got this error.

It seems that you installed latest packages from your operating system vendor's
site. To install the product packages successfully, you need to point the
auto-installer to the vendor's package repository. To do this, create a text
file with name .autoinstallerrc in the /root/ directory on the server, and add
the following line to the file:

ADDITIONAL_SOURCE="<type>, <priority>, <url>, <username>, <password>"

where you should replace <type> with "repomd" value, <priority> with a number from
1 to 999 (999 is the highest priority), and <url> with a URL of the vendor
updates source. The values <username> and <password> are required
only if your vendor's site requires authentication. Save the file and
exit from the text editor. Then run the auto-installer again.
Not all packages were installed.
Please, resolve the above problem and try installing the packages again.
If you cannot resolve the problem on your own, contact product technical support for assistance.

Try the following:

# echo 'ADDITIONAL_SOURCE="repomd, 500, [url]http://www.dcl-arch.it/pub/CentOS/4.5/os/i386/[/url] "' >> /root/.autoinstallerrc

this will add centos-4.5 repo to the list of autoinstaller sources. You may use the nearest mirror instead of dcl-arch.it (e.g. the one you've installed the system from).
Alternatively, you may try to use http://autoinstall.plesk.com/PSA_8.2.1/update-rpm-CentOS-4.2-i386 but this may not work.

This is strange. Try replacing repomd with repodata in /root/.autoinstallerrc

I have found repomd in /usr/lib/python2.3/site-packages/repomd


is this the one you mean ?

and also to where I am going to move this file

As you will see

/root/.autoinstallerrc is not a directory.

what I mean was 'edit /root/.autoinstallerrc file and replace the "repomd" with "repodata"'. The same can be achieved by

And have taken an error too.

As this is installation on Cpanel server I suggest you to do only manual installation. On Cpanel servers apache compiled from the sources and there is no actually httpd package installed but Sitebuilder requires this package to be installed. So in this case better to use manual installation for Sitebuilder packages with rpm -Uhv <packages> --nodeps option.

First of all you need to install packages from SiteBuilder/SiteBuilder_4.0.0/update-rpm-CentOS-4.2-i386/
after that base packages from
SiteBuilder/SiteBuilder_4.0.0/dist-rpm-CentOS-4.2-i386/sitebuilder/

You do not need to install 'httpd' package but make sure that required perl-DBD-MySQL package is installed.

Let's try to make this procedure step-by-step:

First try to install packages from SiteBuilder/SiteBuilder_4.0.0/update-rpm-CentOS-4.2-i386/ directory:

# cd /root/swsoft/SiteBuilder/SiteBuilder_4.0.0/update-rpm-CentOS-4.2-i386/

# rpm -Uhv *.rpm

Probably you will get a messages that perl-DBD-Mysql package is not installed. So you will need to fing appropriate one for your OS, for example here: http://rpm.pbone.net and install it. After that retry Sitebuilder update packages installation.

When packages from update folder installed you will need to install main Sitebuilder packages from /root/swsoft/SiteBuilder/SiteBuilder_4.0.0/dist-rpm-CentOS-4.2-i386/sitebuilder/ directory with

# rpm -Uhv *.rpm

if dependency for httpd package is there, just re-run command with --nodeps options:

# rpm -Uhv *.rpm --nodeps
