SmarterMail Upgrade from 2.5 to 2.6

Hello, I discovered a bug in Smartermail related to spam settings, and the SmarterTools people (its original manufacturers) recommended that I fix this by upgrading from SmarterMail 2.5 to SmarterMail 2.6.

Apparently, the way to do this is:

(1) Uninstall SmarterMail 2.5 from Add/Remove Programs
(2) Reinstall SmarterMail 2.6

The problem is, they weren't sure what consequences uninstalling SmarterMail would have on Plesk. Can anyone assist with this?

SM resintalling should not affect Plesk. But you will lose all mail content it this case. Of course if you will not make a backup
MailBoxes will disappear too. To recover them you need to execute Plesk utility:


mchk.exe --all


This command will reconfigure all domains within default MaiLServer in accordance to Plesk database.
