We had the same problem: ip1/banner1, ip2/banner1 - correct ip1/banner1, ip2/banner2

System: Plesk 10.4.4, CentOS 6, 64 bit

Plesk overwrites the master.cf.

To prevent Plesk from overwriting: chattr +i /etc/postfix/master.cf

Shell: service postfix restart

This worked for us.

I was only able to make this work after adding an ip-hostname mapping in /etc/hosts, which is not done automatically by plesk when adding a domain with a dedicated ip. Before adding the mapping in the /etc/hosts file, postfix was failing the restart and the /var/log/maillog had a fail entry saying that postfix could not perform a binding to those ip addresses. Once I added the mappings in the /etc/hosts file I was able to restart postfix and now I magically have the correct SMTP greetings if I telnet on port 25 to my domain:
