• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Basic Pleskian
An SMTP function to authenticate Plesk system emails is long long long long long overdue.

Already available...

Please check this file, it contains the options you're looking for:

/usr/local/psa/admin/share/pmmcli/pmmcli-rc.sample

Add them to the /usr/local/psa/admin/share/pmmcli/pmmcli-rc file, change the parameters, remove the '#' from the lines you need and it should work.

Code:
# Notification mail 'mail-from' parameter
NOTIFICATION_MAIL_FROM 'Administrator'

# smtpserver name
SMTPSERVER localhost

# AUTHREQUIRED param of smtpserver
AUTHREQUIRED 1

# smtpserver user name (not required if AUTHREQUIRED=0)
SMTPUSER [email protected]

# smtpserver user password (not required if AUTHREQUIRED=0)
SMTPPASS pass

I hope that helps
Kind regards

LD

@LRLD, the pmmcli configuration is part of the Plesk backup utilities and if I am not mistaken any of those options only apply to the backup notifications, not to the system wide notifications.
