smtp / pop3 domain traffic

In the domain traffic screen of the control panel it always shows http and ftp traffic correctly but pop3 and smtp traffic is always at 0%.

Is there something I need to do to start tracking smtp and pop3 traffic?

I am using smartermail and smarterstats which are both configured and working great through the plesk control panel.
