  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

SOA serial number.

Regular Pleskian
Hi,

I'am running Plesk 9.2.1 and when i run a DNS report on my domains, i get this warning in the SOA section:

Your SOA serial number is: 1243718053. That is NOT OK

Why is this? And how can i resolve this?

Hello,

In Parallels Plesk Panel SOA serial number is set to 'seconds since Epoch', i.e. since 01.01.1970.

How does Plesk generate SOA-Record for DNS zones?
http://kb.odin.com/en/1229

01.01.1970+1243718053 seconds = May 2009, if I am not mistaken.

May be it is time to refresh your SOA record?

Regards,
Denis.
