  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Hi
I am having a problem with Plesk 8.0 and qmail.

When I go to servers nd go to Service Manager, SMTP is of and when I attempt to start it Plesk throws the following error message:

Unable to make action: Unable to manage service by mailmng: mailmng: Service qmail failed to start System error 2: No such file or directory

0: /usr/local/psa/admin/plib/common_func.php3:170
psaerror(string 'Unable to make action: Unable to manage service by mailmng: mailmng: Service qmail failed to start System error 2: No such file or directory')
1: /usr/local/psa/admin/htdocs/server/restart_services.php:30

In the Mail logs I have the following error appearing everytime I try to start qmail:

Can not start: unable to switch to the que directory

Any help would be apreciated in fixing this

I am having the exact same problem...no luck finding a solution yet

sounds like a permission problem with qmail and the user who is running qmail.

Is this a new Plesk install, or an upgrade from version 7?

do you have ssh / shell access?

If so, as root setgiduid as the qmail user and run the qmail command to see what errors you receive, and so make sure that user can write to the queue directory.
