SPF explanation setting not used?

LarsenD

Regular Pleskian
Hi,

I am currently testing SPF with my Plesk 9.5.4 server (debian, qmail) and set "SPF explanation text" to "Please see http://www.openspf.org/Why?s=helo;id=%{S};ip=%{C};r=%{R}" as described on openspf.org. I have setup a domain with "v=spf1 -all" so I can test what happens when a mail is rejected.

I would expect that the error message shows the configured explanation text, but the only thing I see is this:
"Remote host said: 554 mail server permanently rejected message (#5.3.0)"

Did I misconfigure something, is this supposed to happen or is this a bug?

I got an answer from Parallels via our hosting provider:
"Currently, our development team is looking for a way to fix this problem with SPF by patching the libraries. However, at this point we have no ETA on availability of fix for these issues."
