  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

SQL Server and Plesk

Hello,
I've only used Plesk on Linux so the Windows version is new to me (but looks great)...

I have a new client that is using Remote Desktop and the MMC for SQL to build the databases and such for some sites. What is the downside of this versus using the Plesk console? i noticed the databases are not listed in the Plesk console because they were build outside using the MMC. Is that the only problem that I face with them or should I enforce them to use Plesk to build the databases and use the MMC for management?

Thanks in advance...

Wally

If you want Plesk to maintain databases you should create them via it.
