SSL Renewal

I think this is a bug perhaps...

I had an SSL expire yesterday. It had a CSR, Private Key and Certificate Text. I renewed with the vendor and was given new Certificate Text. I replaced the SSL's Certificate Text in Plesk and restarted Apache, but it didn't update. Same SSL was being used.

The only way I got it to work was by copying the Private Key and creating a new SSL with my new Certificate Text, then assigning the new SSL to the domain. Anyone else encounter this?

I've just had exactly the same issue! I'd rather not have to install a new certificate from scratch if anyone has a solution!

I had the same problem.

My solution was to load the new certificate text through Plesk. This created a new certificate in /usr/local/psa/var/certificates

Then, I went there and looked the new file, made a backup of the current expiring certificate, and replaced the current file with the new file.

Then restarted apache and it is now working. I didn't find another cleaner way to do it. Nice Plesk!

Hope this is useful for someone in the future.
