• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Hello,

Does plesk installation offer security settings by default ? So my task is only to install plesk and start offering hosting services ? Or do I need to be Linux specialist to host other people sites ?

Do you have Basic Guide for hosting and info about common pitfalls ?

br. Esa

you have to install firewalls and other security measures.

i am also thinking if a server admin is required

Plesk Do not offer security after its installed. You have to install and configure the components in order to secure a Plesk server. Things like Fail2Ban , Plesk Firewall , Mod Security etc.. can be done from Plesk as well as changing the SSH port , enabling SYN protection and few more things needs to be done from root level itself for hardening.
