  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Strange error with PHP-FastCGI and nginx

Paolo Gatti

New Pleskian
Hello, I have a debian 8 with Plesk 12.5.28.

I know that Plask 12.5.28 is not supported, but still I try to ask a question:
I'm using PHP-FastCGI and nginx and in error_log I've these errors when I try to get content from a mobile APP:

[Thu Aug 27 20:48:54.929738 2015] [proxy_fcgi:error] [pid 7437:tid 140222218102528] [client 87.4.233.250:49210] AH01070: Error parsing script headers,
[...]
[Fri Aug 28 10:59:15.694544 2015] [proxy_fcgi:error] [pid 20222:tid 140040654989056] (22)Invalid argument: [client 79.56.178.80:47671] AH01075: Error dispatching request to : (passing brigade to output filters)
[...]
[Fri Aug 28 11:53:56.019421 2015] [proxy_fcgi:error] [pid 1966] [client 95.251.176.221:47083] AH01071: Got error 'Primary script unknown\n'

These errors causes the impossibility to open a simple PDF/DOC/TXT file (in the APP i've only a blank screen, see the attached screenshot). It seems the server can't send the headers of the file. Requests made through web browser works properly.

In access_log I've only this:

95.251.176.221 - - [28/Aug/2015:11:53:56 +0200] "POST /moodle/webservice/rest/server.php?moodlewsrestformat=json HTTP/1.0" 200 5459 "-" "Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 8_4 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/600.1.4 (KHTML, like Gecko) Mobile/12H143 (5214704816)"

Can you help me please?

Thank you very much, Paolo.

P.S. PHP-FastCGI and nginx are configured as default of Plesk setup.

Hello. I too am experiencing the same issue and am currently running the latest update for Plesk 12.5.30 Update #8, last updated at Nov 1, 2015 12:33 PM. When nginx tanks it brings down all of the websites using PHP. Let me know what logs you would like to see.
