• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Stuck on Parallels Product Installer Screen

I've got a new Ubuntu 12.04 install and I'm trying to install Plesk 9.5.4 onto this system. In doing so, when I get to the Parallels Product Install screen and attempt to enter the user/pass combo of admin/setup it rejects it with

"Unable to log you in. Check whether you entered the right login name and password, and that the user account exists in the system."

I'm not sure I understand how the default account can't exist, what am I missing?

I have a full lamp install on this machine already so I shouldn't be missing anything at this point.

Maybe admin user has been created in mysql database during lamp installation? And according to Installation Guide we recommend you to install the Panel on a clean operating system. So, lamp shouldn't be installed there before Plesk installation.
