  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Subdomain on different IP

New Pleskian
Hi guys,

I've been trying to add a subdomain with a different IP address than the main domain but no luck so far. Been through all the docs I can find but still no idea if this is possible.

How can I have a domain.com with ip A and test.domain.com with ip B. I have those IPs setup on my server.

I can edit the vhost for that subdomain with the new IP but it is regenerated and overwritten by Plesk if a change is made to the domain.

Hello Dohcho,

Why not just create a subscription with it's domain name being "test.domain.com" (and not necessarily creating a sub-domain under the domain.com subscription)

Hi and thank you for your reply. I need them to share same system user (i have to use symlinks for something) so they could read the same resources.

Where can I put my custom configuration so it wont be overwritten?

Unfortunately it is not possible to realize your scenario with current Plesk version. You can try to use methos suggested by @abdi with your own customizations.
