subdomains and control panels

Hello,

When I used to use cPanel, I could set up subdomains whatever.mydomain.com as actual domains and these could be used just like standard domains i.e. use the controal panel. I'm sure there is a way to do this in plesk but I don't know how.

I would be very grateful if anyone can help
