For WordPress site owners, threats posed by hackers are ever-present. Because of this, we are developing a new security feature for the WP Toolkit. If the topic of WordPress website security is relevant to you, we would be grateful if you could share your experience and help us test the usability of this feature. Subdomains and password protected dirs

New Pleskian
Plesk 12: Trying to set up a subdomain. I want the its root outside of the httpdocs.
There is already a subdomains directory in home dir, but it's unwritable.
So, I am creating a new dir in home for my subdomains, with another name.
Now, when trying to password protect this new directory from plesk, it's impossible.
As it auto-switch the root dir for the password protected directory between 2 options: Document root and cgi-bin.

So what's the use of the subdomains dir since we can't put sites in there and wouldn't be nice to be able to password protect other custom directories as well?
