Issue Symbolic Linking doesnt work

Previously on my Plesk 12.5, I was symlinking multiple custom wordpress plugins across dozens of websites, so that I didn't have to update them in each site. This method was working perfectly fine until I updated to Onyx, now I get the error 'Symbolic link not allowed or link target not accessible'. I have checked the service plans and verified that the option to 'Restrict the ability to follow symbolic links' is not selected.
