• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Symbolic links, qmail and upgrade

basically my qmail died after the upgrade.
It first ran, then complained, and stopped delivery until I fixed the problems.

I had moved /var/qmail/queueu directory to another disk to share the I/O, and put a symbolic link going from "queue" to /mnt/something/queue but after my upgrade from 7.5.4 to 8.0.0 and to 8.1, qmail's permissions seemed to have changed, (I also had qscanq wrapper), and it would not deliver. I could not fix things, so I ended up moving the queue directory back to the original disk, losing much needed hair during the process.

No matter how I tried, the symbolic link trick would no longer work. any ideas?
