• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Sync E-mail after migration

Hi,

I am busy migrating our Plesk Panel to a new server. The migration takes about 4 hours for one domain. I was wondering how I would synchronize the e-mails after the migration as some e-mails may still come through during the migration and while the DNS records sync around the globe.

Thank you in advance

Migration can be performed with stopped mailserver. All emails will be delivered from outside mailservers with timeout to mailserver started on new server.

Can you switch of the mail server for a particular domain or is this only possible plesk wide.

Just go to domain's Mail settings and uncheck "Activate mail service on domain". Or just suspend domain before migration.
