Synchronized secondary server

Hello,

I was searching in the forum and I can't find any post where can help me to accomplish this.

The thing is, I have two nameservers for two IP's. What I need to do is, when the primary server (NS1) is down, everything work's on the secondary server (NS2) (web, sql and mail).

In the primary server I have Plesk 8.2.1, the secondary probably will not have Plesk, since I don't see the point to buy an extra license key for a server that will not (supposedly) be used, just a few hours a month, when need it (when primary server is down).

The thing is, the secondary server must be synchronized with the contents (web, sql and mail) of the primary server, soo if primary goes down, everything is still online at the secondary. Then, when the primary is back on, it needs to be synchronized with the changes maded on the secondary.

Is this possible?

Thank you

theoretically everything is possible... imho this question is not about names ervers and even plesk but about having parallel server copy running in shadow and real-time synchronized with master.. imho plesk license cost will be the cheapest thing in this solution :) look at raid or rsync usage first..

I thought about rsync and probably will be the best solution for this.. I'll start reading some docs. Thanks :)
