• Please be aware: Kaspersky Anti-Virus has been deprecated
With the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.64, "Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Servers" will be automatically removed from the servers it is installed on. We recommend that you migrate to Sophos Anti-Virus for Servers.
  • The Horde webmail has been deprecated. Its complete removal is scheduled for April 2025. For details and recommended actions, see the Feature and Deprecation Plan.
  • We’re working on enhancing the Monitoring feature in Plesk, and we could really use your expertise! If you’re open to sharing your experiences with server and website monitoring or providing feedback, we’d love to have a one-hour online meeting with you.

The PAM configuration is in inconsistent state - Plesk 12.0.18 #77

Sancherodan

New Pleskian
I am getting the following error when trying to update from Plesk 12.0.18 #77 on Cent 6.0 to Plesk 12.5..

Parallels Panel pre-upgrade check...
WARNING: The PAM configuration is in inconsistent state. If you proceed with the installation, the required PAM modules will not be installed. This will cause problems during the authentication. Some PAM services reference the following nonexistent services: postlogin. Check http://kb.odin.com/en/112944 for more details.
Proceeding with installation or upgrade without resolving the issues that were found can corrupt your data.

The kb.odin.com link in the description does not provide a solution that applies to Plesk 12. I have over 200 clients hosted and it would be a huge problem to have any corrupted data.

Extra info: Plesk 12.0.18 has been acting up as well:
-A lot of time outs while removing/adding clients
-It will not remove clients from WHCMS
-Apache CPU usage running way to high

Contact Plesk Support Team if mentioned KB article didn't help.
