• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

TLS 1.2 Doesn't Work for Websites but works for Plesk Panel 12

Mr Fett

Basic Pleskian
Hi all,

I recently enabled TLS 1.1 and TLS 1.2 on my Server 2008 R2 web server (running Plesk 12) and disabled SSL 2.0 and SSL 3.0. Unfortuantely, while Plesk Panel started connecting with TLS1.2 straight away, none of my guest websites would connect (they simply timed out).

Any ideas?

Bob

Hi Javier,

That's the problem - using the *same* browser Plesk works but the websites do not. Its as thought TLS 1.2 is only being served for the Plesk portal.

Try only disabled TLS 1.2 using IISCrypto , restart system and check. If that work you can confirm the encryption is the problem, if not work this isn't the problem.

If problem is the encryption click on default or change/update your certificate
