Training Spam Assassin

Is there a way to train Spam Assassin in Plesk Panel 11.x?

I thought that I read somewhere that if the email client connected via IMAP and if you put the spam in the accounts Spam folder that Spam Assassin would see them and learn.

However, I guess I misunderstood as there doesn't seem to be working.

Any suggestions on training Spam Assassin? Way too much is getting through.
