Hello,

I think most of hosting providers have such option as a trial hosting - when potential customer can try service for some small period and then either start paying or go away.

Could you please describe how this feature should wrk to suit your needs?
Option 1 - trial hosting is a strictly limited hosting which must be manually upgraded to full-featured hosting at the end of trial period. Otherwise trial subscription will be terminated shortly after trial s over.
Option 2 - trial hosting is a normal full-featured hosting which is simply provided for free during trial period. When trial is over, customer must cancel this hosting or he will automatically receive a bill. Or as another scenario customer must manually ask to renew this trial hosting to normal otherwise hosting will be terminated.

I would limit the outgoing traffic, since it's a trial, we can get away with it.
of course, it should also be time-limited, that is, it expires in x days..

This is so annoying!

I would like to give FULL packge feature but only with limitations on Emails sent out ...

Chances are so high that spammers would abuse that trial feature ...So without limiting emails out for trial packages, It would be risky running the service it self ...

Also, nowadays most people know what they want, its either cPanel or Plesk and they already have an idea of how each works or what is better ...

So a few would jump for trials based on control panel but rather either:

1. Abuse the service or
2. Test server uptime guarantee during that time ...
3. And just a few of those who want to see the panel and ease of the panel the hosting company uses ...

Thank you all

abdi, what about traffic limitation? Wouldn't it be risky that without traffic limitation trials will be used for free file storage or some proxy?

Well not to put anything to chances that too can be there, though those are the few that would use the trial for that ...

However the quickest implentation of the trial would be:

1. Create a service plan with all the customization that currently exists ...
2. For a trial service plan, set the auto-termination date

NB: Currently the expiry date just suspends the subscription so instead for the trials it just terminates the account (delete).
In otherwards to the current set-up of a service plan, add "AUTO Termination Date field"

But since the email limit is an over-due feature in plesk, that too can now be intergrated with ALL service plans other than just ONLY for the trials ...

In summary:

ADD AN AUTO-TERMINATION DATE TO THE CURRENT SERVICE PLAN TEMPLATES AND THAT AUTOMATICALLY IMPLEMENTS TRIAL HOSTING ...AND TO ENHANCE THE TRIAL OR OUR SERVICE PLANS (WITH OR WITHOUT TRIALS) ADD THE EMAIL SEND LIMIT TO EACH SERVICE PLAN PER HOUR OR PER DAY ...
