• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Trouples using FTP on new domain setup

Hello,

I setup a new domain but the DNS information is not pointing to the server yet. I can connect to the site with FrontPage using the ip address but cannot seem to connect with FTP.

I'm trying to look around the server and I can't find another place where I can test FTP to the box using any of the domains.

Guess i'm just a bit confused because plesk sets up a ftp site in IIS but seems like this is not the site being used for ftp and Serv-U doesn't seem to show you anything at all about ftp sites. same with plesk.

Where can I test this stuff out?

Recap:
I setup a new domain. Allow user to connect with FTP and FP and save changes. I test login with FP and it works. I test user with FTP and it fails.

regards,
