Update 8.0.1 never seems to complete updating

I have run an update from 8.0.0 to 8.0.1 quite sometime ago and recent saw update available again. Click on the update and process...but it never seems to complete the update. I logout of Plesk after initiating the update and it still show the same status "running or installing updates"...the next day.

I initiated again, but it showed a message, cannot run update... and display some message that it is still running the updates.

This is the third day. Updates is available and do not see any update completed.

What can I do now to remove the previous initiated update?

The current very big issue of backup problem is there! Backup timing not correct, kicking off backup every 15 min. (Now seems to stop after removing all backup schedules). That's consumed my 300GB diskspace!!! Managed to clear to on Sunday.

Help.
