update failed and now hourly slow downs

Hiya All

I was doing the update to 10.1.* from 10 and its failed and ever since i have been seeing hourly slowdowns that i assume are somthign to do with the cronJobs that are run.

any ideas how to trouble shot the slow downs?

since posting this i have seen in watchdog that the plesk web server is using 512 meg of memory as apposeded the to customer facing webserver with uses just a few meg.

any idea how to find the issue?
