Update Php on the system

regisg

Regular Pleskian
Hello,

I use Plesk 12.5.30 on CentOS 6.6.

All my websites on my VPS work with PHP 5.4.45 FastCGI application.

But curiously i am unable to install some applications which need PHP 5.4+ (like Elastic Search) because i read that the PHP version of the system is still 5.3.3 !

So i don't understand...

How can i update the PHP of my system (???) to 5.4.45 ?

Thanks a lot for your help !

Hi regisg,

for CentOS 6 on a x86_64 system, you could upgrade your system PHP like this:

Code:
wget http://download.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/6/x86_64/epel-release-6-8.noarch.rpm
rpm -ivh epel-release-6-8.noarch.rpm
wget http://rpms.famillecollet.com/enterprise/remi-release-6.rpm
rpm -Uvh remi-release-6*.rpm
yum --enablerepo=remi upgrade php-mysql php-devel php-gd php-pecl-memcache php-pspell php-snmp php-xmlrpc php-xml

Thank you very much for your reply :)

So with this code, i can upgrade precisely to PHP 5.4.45 ? Where do we fix the version ?

Hi regisg,

I have problems understanding your question:
Where do we fix the version ?
The above suggested commands will lead to a system PHP upgrade from your current version 5.3.3 to version 5.4.* .
