Resolved Update Ubuntu 16.04.7 on Plesk Obsidian 18.0.34

Hi, currently i have a virtual server with operating system

SO: Ubuntu 16.04.7 LTS with Plesk Obsidian 18.0.34, should I upgrade to version Ubuntu 18.04 in order to have PLESK Obsidian updates correctly and automatically.
I opened a ticket to someone who provides me with the hosting service, I was told that to update Ubuntu I can safely use the Reinstall function in their control panel (see attachment).

I ask, is this update procedure correct? Thanks

Hi,

Mind that this will completely erase the server's drive and reinstall the OS from scratch, meaning that the Plesk panel, it's content.
The OS and the server would be initialized from scratch.

If you feel confident, you can perform a dist-upgrade(make sure to make a server backup in Plesk. If possible, make a snapshot of the VPS as well.):

Alternatively, you can migrate the required subscriptions to a new plesk server using the migrator extension.
