Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70
Hello,

I have Plesk on an Ubuntu 20.04 LTS machine.

I wanted to know if I can upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.71 Update 1.

I'm noticing that the update is no longer automatic. I'm getting this error:

Motivo: 2025-07-20 06:26:13 INFO: pum is called with arguments: ['--list', '--repo-info', '--json']
2025-07-20 06:26:45 ERROR: Apt cache fetch failed. Try to run the `apt-get update` command.
2025-07-20 06:26:45 ERROR:
2025-07-20 06:26:45 ERROR: Exited with returncode 1.

Thank you for support

Apologies for the delayed response. I wasn't available during the past week. If the issue still persists, please try moving imunify-testing.list.example to some other location, for instance:

Bash:
mv /etc/apt/sources.list.d/imunify-testing.list.example /root

Hello! I'm joining the conversation because I'm having the same problem, but without any errors or specific reports. So, everything's fine, except that every day I receive an email with this message:

Hello, ****,
There was an issue with updating system packages and third-party components on the **** server. Please wait for the next automatic update or run the update manually: https://*****:8443/admin/pum

Reason: 2025-09-09 06:26:15 INFO: pum is called with arguments: ['--list', '--repo-info', '--json']
2025-09-09 06:26:47 ERROR: Apt cache fetch failed. Try to run the `apt-get update` command.
2025-09-09 06:26:47 ERROR:
2025-09-09 06:26:47 ERROR: Exited with returncode 1.

This is the output for apt-get update command:

I also edited resolv.conf to include Google's DNS, considering a possible local DNS timeout, but it still doesn't fix the issue. It's been like this for days.

At this point, I'm not sure if it's a Plesk bug, a false positive, or something else...

Do you have any suggestions?

@vincenzo.casu , can you please try manually running the daily task and confirm if it returns the same error:

Bash:
plesk daily -f InstallSystemPackageUpdates

Hello!

Running the command manually doesn't cause any problems. I also received an email with a summary of the updated packages.

This is strange. What could be causing this problem with the automatic execution of the command?
