Updating Image Gallery

Is there simpler way to update image gallery without having to republish the whole website? The site is being created for a Salon and I would like to be able to just add the images without having to go through the process of republishing the whole site.

So far i searched the forum and cant find a solution to this, the same with the blog is there a easier way to update that without republishing completely?

I had to edit some images on the default layout and if i republish i will have to fix that every time.

Has anyone had these issues?

edit: To add this is through the Sitebuilder provided by Hostgator - so maybe its a limitation of the tool?

Hello,

The only option availablie in Sitebuilder which could help here is 'Republish the entire site content' at the end of the Wizard on Publish step.
To apply changes to the site without republishing the whole site, leave this option (Republish the entire site content) unselected.
Select this option, if you wish to recover your site in case it has been destroyed or damaged at the publishing location.

Why not to have these images in Sitebuilder in correct form so publication does not broke anything on your side. Is there any problem with that?

Due to the nature of the layout (The one she liked) i had to modify a picture of some lemons that was on the left side of the layout which is not a modifiable image - I can always just fix the image everytime I have to update the photo's or blog but obviously i would perfer not too.

I also tried to lock the files that were modified but doing so makes it so i get a error when publishing it saying it can't access certain files.

I guess i just have to be ok with the limitations of the sitebuilder at this point
