Upgrade from 10.2.0 -> 10.3.0

Whenever I try to upgrade my 10.2.0 to 10.3.0 or 10.3.1 it gives me this error

I tried running bootstrapper.sh repair but also gave me the same error

What can I do with this problem? I am desperate. I don't want to reformat and build the whole system again.

Update Plesk with autoinstaller

Try this:

/usr/local/psa/admin/bin/autoinstaller --select-release-latest --upgrade-installed-components --truncate-log --notify-email root

Your installation should be working normal when this command is executed.

If you need some more options type "--help" after autoinstaller.
Otherwise, check you logs to resolve your problem.

upgrade your Database

Hello Maku,

Have you upgraded the MySQL version without upgrading the database and not executed like

mysql_upgrade -h localhost -uadmin -p

Than the database will becomes incompatible and needs an upgrade first before you upgrade Plesk.
(Hopefuly will the upgrade working properly)

I tried that too and ran the installation then this error pops up earlier in the error log

Ceate a directory

Hi,

As you can see you should have a directory like "/var/lib/psa"
Otherwise you'll should create one by "mkdir /var/lib/psa" and/or create the directory "/var/lib/psa/dumps"

Check-it by using "ls -acl /var/lib/" to see if the rights are okay and/or adjust it by "chmod" and "chown" (normal root:root and 755, 757 or 777.

I can't seem to create the psa folder inside /var/lib even though I changed the /var/lib properties to 777 and chowned it to root.

mkdir psa
mkdir: cannot create directory `psa': No such file or directory

Nice, the installation seems to be okay for now.
That's the reason why you have to look inside of your logs to solve some mystery's.

I too was having the same issue and I really did not know as to why I was not able to update to 10.3.1. Bootstrapper repair method was done by me several times but to no avail. Anyway, thanks to your script, I was able to fix the issue and update instantaneously.Has anyone tried using dedicated server services? Will it be advisable and cost effective?
