  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Logged in as Administrator

I should add that I was logged in as administrator. I found a similar error in this KB article http://kb.odin.com/en/1544 that stated the resolution was to "Grant full access permission for the user on Plesk installation folder."

Since I was logged in as server administrator, it seems this would not apply to this particular situtation.

Thanks, DmitryT. I was able to perform the upgrade during a second attempt. The upgrade worked the second attempt only because when the error message with dialogue box poped up, I responded with "Ignore" instead of "Retry". Plesk 8.4 appears to be working fine.
